9 Month Update!
Jordyn turned 9 months old on the 20th! Here's what she's up to now...
She is the LOUDEST baby we've had! Whether she's screaming (which she does quite a bit right now) or just "talking" she is super loud! I'm sure the neighbors can here her! =)
I love this...This is how she likes to hold her fingers. I just think it's cute!
Still no teeth, but she likes to eat! I just bought about 15 cans of baby food, but once she's done with that, I think it's table food all the way for this little chickee-poo! She loves the little puffs (like cheerios) and we gave her a baby banana cookie last night. She actually got most of it in her mouth!
She LOVES to laugh at her sisters. We bought a play yard for her so she can play up in Reagan and Sydney's room with them during the day. That has worked out so well! They can spend time with her, but she can't get into all their little toys!
When she wants something, she can definitely get to it! She's scooting all over the place. (I promise I let her out of the bouncy seat! I know that's where most of her pictures are, but she isn't in that thing all day!!)
She's due for some shots, but I have to find a doctor up here! Thankfully, though, the Lord has protected her from getting sick like the rest of us have been the last couple of months. I am so grateful for that!

My Sissy!
Here are some pictures from before we left for Georgia from when we were hanging out at Sissy and Mark's. Just the girls and I went one day and played and played and played! My girls sure love playing with their cousins! Then, the Sunday before we moved Sissy made an incredible meal for our family and a few friends. We had a wonderful time visiting and eating!
Rub-a-Dub-Dub
Here's Jordyn in the tub! (Well sink!) We have a big sink, so this morning I thought I'd see if Jordyn liked it better than the bath tub. She loved it!! Reagan thought it was pretty funny that I'd wash her sister in the same place I wash the dishes!

I Heart You!
Oh, this Valentine's Day was a good one! Steve took Reagan out for a date in the morning. They had fun eating biscuits at McDonald's and on their way home Steve picked up coffee for me. It was so delicious!! Then we had heart shaped cheese quesadillas and of course candy for lunch! We also Skyped with our families for a little bit, too! Then, we put the girls to bed early and had a wonderful date night in! Steve picked whatever he wanted to have for dinner - so we had steak, Greek potatoes, asparagus, rolls and wine! We had really good conversation and then watched a movie. It was a wonderful day and I'm so grateful that I was able to spend it with the love of my life. Steve truly has been my dreams come true! OK, I'll stop now! I won't get too mushy!

True Love
"True love doesn't give to get. It is not self-seeking. We are only able to love by walking in newness of life, which comes from dying to self and living through the power of Christ. As he transforms us into his likeness, his love is fleshed out in action. Therefore, although we cannot love as fully as God commands, we are not without hope. The power of Christ gives us everything we need for life and godliness. We must cling to him who is at work in our lives. Only then can true love come forth." Ginger Plowman, Heaven at Home
I read this yesterday and thought it was very appropriate for today! I hope you are all enjoying your Valentine's Day! I'll post some pictures of our fun hopefully tomorrow!

Spurgeon on Prayer
I read this from Beside Still Waters the other morning and it has just stuck with me. I love to pray. I love to watch the Lord answer prayers. Today I was thinking about our marriage, our move, our children, our dear, dear family (we sure do miss y'all!!), my sweet friends - one who is beginning homeschooling, another who just moved way too far away, another who is beginning to potty train her twins, another who is caring for her little girl who is going through cancer while serving her husband and caring for her son, another whose husband just lost his job, another who is serving the Lord in a far off land, - oh the list could go on and on! And I love that the Lord hears all our prayers. Not only does He hear them, He is compassionate and loving and kind in ALL His ways! He gives us all we need for life and godliness. He, the God of the universe, gave His own Son as a sacrifice for our sins! When Jesus cried out "It is finished" it wasn't a cry of relief, it was a cry of VICTORY! Because of His love for us we can draw near to His throne of grace!!
Here's the quote!
"The poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him" (Psalm 34:6). The man was alone, and the only one who heard him was the Lord. Yes, the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, the All-glorious, heard his prayer. God stooped from His eternal glory and gave attention to his cry.
Never think that a praying heart pleads to a deaf God. Never imagine that God is so far removed that He fails to notice our needs. God hears prayer and grants His children's desires and requests.
We can never pray earnestly until we believe that God hears prayer. I have been told, "Prayer is an excellent exercise, highly satisfying and useful, but nothing more. Prayer cannot move the Infinite Mind." Do not believe so gross a lie or you will soon stop praying. No one prays for the mere love of the act. Amid all the innumerable actions of divine power, the Lord never ceases to listen to the cries of those who seek His face. This verse is always true, "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles" (Ps. 34:17). What a glorious fact! Truly marvelous!
This is still Jehovah's special title: the God who hears prayer. We often come from the throne of grace as certain that God heard us as we were sure that we had prayed. The astounding answers to our supplications are proof positive that prayer climbs above the regions of earth and time and touches God and His infinity. Yes, it is still true, the Lord will hear your prayer.

Baking Day with My Girls!
Monday Reagan, Sydney and I made a bunch of cookies for our neighbors. We had so much fun and the girls did a great job! They unwrapped all the kisses and put them on the cookies and cut out most of the sugar cookies and of course they helped pour ingredients into the mixer!
Reagan couldn't wait to get up from her nap to deliver the goods! Our neighbors are so friendly and we enjoyed talking and getting to know them a little bit!

Bible Reading
So, Reagan came up to me on Saturday morning and told me she found something. Hmmm...I asked her what it was. She said she found a song in the Bible that David wrote and then she read it to me. The entire Psalm. I couldn't believe it. I think that's probably a moment I'll always remember. So we had a sweet talk about how the Bible is the best book we can read and how God is faithful to write His Word on our hearts when we read and study Scripture.
Later that evening she wanted to read a Psalm to Steve and Dad. So she did. After that she very confidently turned to another book of the Bible - the Song of Solomon - and told us she wanted to read that book next. I couldn't help but just laugh! I had just read C.J.'s chapter he wrote about the S.O.S.
Let's just say we sent her back to the Psalms!! =)

Weekend Fun!
The weather cleared up and it was gorgeous here over the weekend! Friday Dad came up with another truck load of stuff for us, but we've barely touched it! Before he made it here, we took the girls for a little hike on a trail in our neighborhood. I bundled them all up - I mean 2 undershirts each, sweats, hats and mittens - thinking it would be freezing, but it was actually pretty warm. One day I'll figure out to check the temperature outside before getting everyone dressed!!
The hike was fun and the girls seemed to like it. Reagan kept saying we were out hunting! We found a little creek that had ice covering it, a couple of birds' nests and a big fallen tree. That was about the extent of it! It was great to get outside, though! Steve and Dad unloaded the truck and then drove around for a little while and then we went to a really good BBQ place right down the street from our house. They even had fried pickles!! I was a little nervous about taking Jordyn after our last restaurant experience, but she was so good!
Early Saturday afternoon Dad had to leave, so when Steve got back home from the airport we took the girls to the park in our neighborhood. They had so much fun! Reagan was more fearless than I've ever seen her before. I think Steve being there and encouraging her to climb higher, etc. helped her a lot, too! Sydney liked the little slides and baby swings! Reagan wants to be bigger than she is, and Sydney doesn't seem to want to grow up. It's so funny to watch them. Over the last few months, though, I can really see the Lord growing their little friendship with each other. Over the last couple of weeks I've been amazed at how much they have loved on each other and played with each other! Jordyn loved the little swings and was happy to even just sit in her stroller and watch the girls! OK, here are some pictures!

We Saw Snow!!
Well, when we woke up this morning it was snowing!! Just little flurries, but it was fun to see and the girls enjoyed watching it fall!
We did more work around the house today. Steve bought a desk from the Goodwill down the street and has his office almost all set up. I finally cleaned the floor in the family room, so tomorrow Jordyn will finally have some freedom to roam around! We also spent some needed time just playing with the girls! Also, since it was freezing the girls were able to enjoy some yummy hot chocolate!!

Brrr...It Sure is Chilly!
It is cold, I mean really cold up here!! The girls have been taking off their socks at night because they are not used to wearing them, so we went and bought them some feet pajamas so they will stay warm! Cute, huh?!
We Made It!
We are in Georgia now and getting settled! I still can't believe we are here. The girls, Mama, Nancy and I left early Friday morning and made it here about 8:30 PM Friday night. Steve and Mom drove up even earlier than us! There were so many people here to help unload the truck, that by the time all us girls arrived, the truck was already gone and the beds were almost put together. The girls did fantastic on the drive up - I hardly heard a peep from them and thankfully Jordyn didn't fuss at all! Nancy's suburban broke down, but she was able to make it to a repair shop and they had her up and running in no time!
We have been overwhelmed by the care the church has poured over us since even before we arrived here. Not only did they help us unload the truck, but when I got here people had brought dinner (and have been every night since we got here!), had stocked the kitchen with milk, juice, homemade breads and muffins, peanut butter and jelly, pretzels, bread and other goodies! Also, they have been more than eager to help us with whatever we need!
It was really hard on Saturday and Sunday when our moms had to leave, but we are so grateful they were able to come up here and help us get moved in. I was telling Steve the other night that even in the moments when this has been the most difficult or when I am sad about leaving Orlando, I have not once doubted that this is where God wants us right now - and if this is where He wants us, this is right where I want to be - smack dab in the middle of His will for us. The cost is costly, but I'm seeing more and more of His grace at work in our lives!
The girls are doing great. Their new room is huge and they have all their toys in there right now. They have played pretty much non-stop since Saturday.
Today we went and bought some things for Steve's new office! Steve will begin his new job on Monday, so we are hoping it warms up some by the end of the week so we can go and have some fun before he jumps into working!
I'll post some pictures of the house in the next couple of days!
