Quick Update!

Wow! I can't believe it has already been a month since my last post. A lot has transpired in the last month.

We are anxiously awaiting Christmas day when we get to celebrate our precious Savior's birth. It has been especially fun for me this year because Reagan and I have been able to have lots of conversations about why we celebrate Christmas, why we have gifts under the tree, why we give presents away and most importantly why God sent His son to earth. When I ask her why we celebrate Christmas she says "because it's Jesus' birthday"! That makes my heart glad! I hope I can demonstrate to them each and every year what is most important about this season and that I do not become overwhelmed with the shopping and buying and busyness of the season which is so easy for me to do!

Last week we had a memorial service for our Aunt Martha (Ann's sister). We are rejoicing that she is with our Savior, but it has been very sad as well. Reagan asked me the other day where Aunt Martha was and I was able to tell her that she is in heaven. Reagan asked me if she was going to go to heaven one day, too, and I was able to share with her the Gospel once again. What precious days these are. I pray that she will surrender her life to God early on!

We have also had party after party! They all have been so fun! I have left each one so grateful for our friends and families! We are blessed beyond what we deserve, that's for sure!

Mama, Sissy and I had our 10th annual baking day on Saturday!! (They have been baking for much longer than that, but it has been 10 years since I was added in!) We baked from morning until night! This was the first year that we completed every recipe on our list and we only had one little hiccup through it all! (It helps when you double a recipe to double ALL of the ingredients =)!) I do have to admit, too, that was my mistake! We had so much fun, but I was whipped after that!

Well, I have some fun pictures to post soon! Don't know if I'll get to it today, but check back soon!

Reagan

Here is a picture that Steve did of Reagan. He was copying an Andy Warhol portrait. I just love it! I can't wait for him to do one of Sydney, too!

Fun Fall Festival!

Tuesday evening our church hosted a Fall Festival. We used it as an outreach to the community and it was so much fun! They had all kinds of booths and a petting farm, bounce houses, balloons, face painting, a fire truck, and the list could go on. We had a great dinner there which consisted of a hot dog, cotton candy, coke, popcorn and last, but not least, a sno cone! I have never seen Reagan so hyper in her short little life! Great job, MLC for all the time and effort you put into making the Fall Festival a BlAsT!
It looks to me like she's thinking "What have they put me in?!?"
Reagan sitting in a fire truck. Are you just a LITTLE hungry, Todd?!?!
Awww...how cute! Where's Isaac's bulldog costume, though?
A fairy (Reagan) and a princess (Sianna)
Here Are A Few More Pictures of Sydney...She can almost hold her own bottle. This one was too cute. Here she is sleeping so hard her diaper is about to fall off!
Reagan has decided she still likes the entertainer, too!
Sydney's Turn
Little Sydney hasn't received too much attention on our blog. Probably because she has mainly just been eating, sleeping and crying up to this point and Reagan has been keeping us so busy with running, playing, talking (lots of talking), etc. But now it's Sydney's turn to be in the light for a few minutes. Sydney is growing so quickly. Actually, I mean really growing...she's quite chunky weighing in over 20 lbs. We take her to the doctor for her 6 month check up next week so I'm looking forward to see how much she's grown in just 2 months.

Here have been some of Sydney's favorite things to do and favorite toys recently:

She loves when her sissy and mommy go and get her out of bed in the morning.

Of course, she loves to eat! She just started "real" food yesterday and so far, sweet potatoes have been a hit! She started smiling and kicking when she saw the container tonight!

She likes playing with her sister. I let them "play" together in Reagan's room a couple of times this week. It's so cute to hear them "talking" to each other.

Cartoons. She enjoys anything we put on for her.

Naps and bedtime. I am amazed (and so grateful) that we have 2 girls that enjoy going to bed and sleep well.

Favorite toys: blankies - she sleeps with them over her head, Einstein Mat - especially the rattle and lady bug that hang from it, her entertainer - it has lots of things she can chew on, and any of her little stuffed animals.

Sydney is such a little joy. She definitely has her moments - usually as soon as we sit down for
dinner - but for the majority of the time she is happy and content. Tonight I had her laughing and laughing. It's so funny to see what they think is funny. It's even funnier to see how we will make fools of ourselves over and over again to make them laugh! *smile*

Here are some pictures of Sydney at 6 months:
Early Christmas Present

We couldn't wait any longer to put together the girls huge Christmas present! Steve went and bought it right after we got home from the mountains and him and dad put it together a couple of Saturdays ago. It is such a cool swing set - complete with rock wall, slide, monkey bars, trapeze bar, two swings, a fort, and a picnic table.

Reagan is having so much fun on it. She can make it up the rock wall and ladder with no problems and she's getting super speedy on the slide. She even does really good on her "big girl" swing! She has been able to have her cousins and a couple of friends over to play, too. Sydney is still pretty indifferent to the swing, but I think she likes being able to watch Reagan run around! I have a feeling we will be outside a lot more in the coming weeks and months!

Fun in the Sun!

The weather has been beautiful here lately and when we arrived back from vacation, Reagan had a package waiting with her name on it with a fun new toy she could enjoy outside! Here she is on her new little jeep from her grandpa. She likes being able to cruise around the driveway and sidewalk, although she still isn't very good at steering! Oh, and Sydney thinks she's pretty funny to watch!

SEA WORLD!

A couple of weeks ago my friends Dena and Amanda and I took all our kiddos out to Sea World. We had 5 little ones 3 and under with us and they had a blast! It's so fun watching them play together and see all the fish and other fun things they have out there! It's finally starting to cool down a little which makes it even more enjoyable! Hopefully we can make it out there again soon!

Isaac, Mia, Reagan and Ella

Isaac LOVED getting wet!

Here's Amanda and Isaac on the Tea Cups. Looks like she's having more fun than he is!

Reagan, Mia and Dena sure liked riding the rides!

So far, this is what Sydney enjoys the most about Sea World!
Last of the Vacation Pictures!

She's finally enjoying her long awaited S'more!

Mmmmm....

Isn't this one of the most beautiful places you've ever seen?

Amy by a waterfall we found while hiking!
I'm Almost Done With Vacation Photos...

And all of these have just been a few of my favorites!

Steve and Reagan at the Falls.

Reagan and Mom playing in the cabin.

Sydney trying to figure out what all is going on!

Reagan had one big thing she wanted to do in the mountains and that was make S'mores. So, near the end of our trip we built a fire so we could make some good 'ol S'mores! Here's dad hanging out near the fire!

The Falls!

One day we went on a short hike to see a waterfall. Here are some of the pictures from that little adventure...
